La Spiaza Backpackers & Cabins in Playa Las Layas

We are a small eco-hostel. We provide 2 ensuite private rooms (double bed, with possibility of an additional single one). The cabin has 2 floors: downstairs is provided with a small porch and private garden, while upstairs there is a nice balcony with ocean view, perfect for surfers that will be able to check out the waves at any time. We also offer a Panamanian style ""Rancho"" (wooden structure with detached roof) where, provisionally, we rent beds in tents (max 2 people per tent, we provide mattress, sheets, towels and shared bathroom). The ""Rancho"" is soon to be refurbished and turned into a traditional hostel shared room.   Free Wi-Fi (satellite internet) access with you laptop, a fee is applied if you use our PC. Bar and restaurant in the front part of the property, just 30 meters from the ocean. Pizza nights in week ends, film at nights (English and Spanish). Surf boards rental. We organize excursions to the Chiriqui Marine Park (great, pristine and cheap snorkeling spot) and horseback riding tours to the beach (15 km long) or to the Indian Hieroglyphics for advanced riders.

Bus:
From Panama City, go to all brook terminals and get a bus to David. Ask a ticket to &quot,Cruce de San Felix&quot,. From there get a taxi to &quot,playa Las Lajas, el Hostal de los Italians (La S Piaza)&quot,

From David, go to the main bus terminal and get any local bus to Las Lajas, San Felix, Remedios or Tole' and stop at the &quot,Cruce de San Felix&quot,. Get a taxi with the above direction. TIP: while in David terminal ask the drivers if there is any bus coming directly to the beach (they randomly give this service which is cheaper and faster).

Car:
Get to &quot,Cruce de San Felix&quot, (Chiriqui province, located on the Inter American or Pan-American Highway) and take the road leading to the beach (southbound) and to Las Lajas Town. Then follow the road signs. We are located at the end on the main road, 30 mt on the left along the coastal avenue.
