Trinity Youth Hostel in Tehuacana

Guests need to provide their own linens or can rent linens from the Hostel for $2.00. Guests must take care of their own meals: a microwave and refrigerator are available. In the Barracks we have a suite with a full size bed and a sitting room attached with a small refrigerator, toaster and microwave. Down the hall there is a home-like bathroom with tub/shower. Also, there is a common bathroom with 3 showers, lavatories, toilets, etc. There is also another suite with 2 bunk beds in the bedroom plus a sitting room with a private bath off of it.

Local attractions include Fort Parker (a historic restored fort from the 1830's), Fort Parker State Park, Lake Mexia, and the rural sights of beautiful central Texas. Tehuacana is a quaint rural village of about 350 people with a historic cemetery, a grocery store, café, and post office in easy walking distance. Guests need to have calling cards to make long distance calls from the local grocery store. In addition, nearby Wortham, TX plays host to the &quot,Blind&quot, Lemon Jefferson Blues Festival, held annually.

the hostel is located on the campus of the Trinity Institute, 103 College Avenue. the village of Tehuacana is only 300 people so drive to the middle of the village until you see the buildings.
