We're John and Lynn O'Kane, your hosts at Voyageur North Outfitters. For over 27 years, we have operated on a very simple principle: when you serve people well and give them good value, they come back. Outfitting is our only business. It's not a hobby or a side job. Northern Minnesota, just 2 hours north of Duluth, MN. Only 5 miles from the Canadian border. We are located just a few miles from the world famous Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness.

Ely is a very small town and the only transportation that gets you to Ely is by driving yourself or taxi.

Duluth has an airport (2 hrs from Ely) and Minneapolis also has a large airport (4.5 hrs from Ely). Hibbing is a midsized airport &amp, is also about 2 hrs from Ely.

There are airports in Duluth, 98 miles away where you can get a taxi or rent a car.

There is an airport in Minneapolis, 250 miles away, also you can rent a car or get a taxi.

A taxi from Minneapolis is a minimum of $320.00 per vehicle that can hold up to 4 people. Taxi from Duluth is $170.00, also holds 4 people.
