Mandala Hostel in Budapest
Our hostel is a small, unique in downtown Budapest. Located behind the National Museum in a tranquil pedestrian area, close to the main downtown tracks, Main Market Hall, Gellért thermal bath and the Museum of Applied Arts. We are situated between two metro lines.
Other advantages of the neighborhood are: supermarket, grocery, pharmacy, post office, vegetarian restaurant, spiritual center, clubs and cafes.

There are two dormitories and a private room:
Mush room:
Enchanting Indian-arabesque milieu, ideal for individuals and couples –
will accommodate up to 8 people.
Zen room, the 6-bed dorm:
There is no way to peace – “peace is the way"" - clear and bright, you can rest and free your mind after the city hustle!
Domino double room:
Private room with shared bathroom, best for couples (you are welcome to bring your baby.) It comes with TV and DVD player.
Vintage room: this beautiful vintage style double- ensuite- room differs from the hostels general design, it is owned by a nice elder couple and located next door to us. You can also use all our facilities. If you stay alone, you can get 10 Euros discount.
We do not take credit cards as payment. Please pay in cash on arrival.

Mandragora Doubles, our hostels double has just opened with the same ambiance and facilities. All the doubles, Sage, Atropa and Datura have their own mosaic styled bathrooms, brand-new, super comfortable beds and individual décors. From Ferihegy airport: take airport bus to Kobánya Kispest, then metro (blue line) to Kálvin square, find the left exit to Baross street, walk to Mikszáth square and straight ahead to Krúdy street 12. You will find us on the corner after a church on the left side.From Nyugati railway station: Take tram 4 or 6 (in the direction of Blaha Lujza), the 6th stop is Baross street, go back 20 meters and find Krúdy street (at a sculpture of a boy with dog).
From Keleti railway station: Take bus 7 or metro (red line) to Blaha Lujza square, change to tram 4 or 6 and go to Baross street, go back 20 meters and find Krúdy street.
From Népliget bus station take the metro (blue line) to Kálvin square, find the left exit to Baross street, walk to Mikszáth square and straight ahead to Krúdy street 12. You will find us on the corner after a church on the left side.
Important Warning:
If you`re arriving by train please be prepared to meet some hustlers at the railway stations (and on the trains from Vienna). They work for a few big hostels, usually they assure you, that small hostels like ours are very bad, or do not even exist. Please be tough and try us first, You won't be disappointed!
