Apoka Lodge in Kampala

Apoka Lodge is located in Kidepo, one of the most spectacular parks in Uganda. In the vast panorama from the veranda of the park's Apoke Lodge, guests can watch a constant parade of wildlife including elephants, cheetahs, zebras, buffalos, countless antelopes and over 200 species of birds.   At Apoka Lodge guests can walk with the camp’s trained guides tracking game along the sandy dry riverbed or dive off a huge boulder into Uganda’s only rock pool while watching animals at the watering hole at the same time.

Getting There
Apoka is in the heart of Kidepo Valley National Park, tucked into the North-Eastern corner of Uganda where it meets Sudan and Kenya. By road it is at least 9 hours drive from Kampala. Most guests fly to Apoka, either using the lodge’s private plane, or by chartering a private plane..or through the thrice-weekly scheduled service of the local scheduled airline Eagle Air. There is an airstrip very near the lodge and we run complimentary transfers to and from this strip.
