Royal Sunset Island resort is located on Atata Island 7nm from the main Island Of Tongatapu, where the kingdom of Tonga's capital Nuku'alofa and the Fua'amotu international airport are situated. The resort is located on the southern tip of the island and features 16 western fales, 10 eastern fales, all beachfront swimming pool, tennis court island style and a Polynesian style restaurant and bar.

Similarly, sport fishermen and women have the opportunity of fishing the well known Duffs Reef, and surrounding fishing grounds.

From July to October humpback whales migrates from cold south to warmer Tonga’s water. During this period they don't feed, they come here to calf and mate. The singing males can be clearly heard from underwater and whales encountered on their migration path here at Atatà.
