Pretoria Backpackers is a family concern that has been running for over 16 years. Over this time we've created a home away from home for all travelers, backpackers, youth hostellers and budget travelers.   Small, clean and friendly travelers lodge situated in a residential area with great personal service.   We are conveniently located with in easy walking access to the Union Buildings, Hatfield and the city centre.   The lodge is kept immaculately clean and staff is friendly and helpful.   Jo'burg Airport Shuttle (booking essential)   The on site travel centre is open daily to help with all your needs.   All are welcome, individuals, small groups & families.   We have a wack of information on Pretoria and surroundings.   You can walk, rent a car to visit the sites or jump on a budget hostel tour with some fellow travelers   The lodge is owner managed and run

How to get to us
We are situated in Hatfield / Arcadia area of Pretoria , next to Loftus Versveld Rugby stadium, within easy walking distance to the Union Buildings , Hatfield and University of Pretoria with down town with in easy reach.


From Joburg airport:
Take R 21 towards Pretoria , follow for 45 km till you get to the Fountain Circle . Follow signs towards Sunnyside for 4 km. Turn right into Schoeman str, continue for about 4 km till you find Farenden str on you right. Turn right and find no 425 Farenden on right. The house is clearly marked.

From Nelspruit
Follow N4 towards Pretoria, you will enter Pretoria from east in Pretoruis str, follow for 4 km. After you have past the US Embassy on the left slow down and turn left into Farenden str. Look out for no 425 on left, the house is clearly marked.


From the North
Follow N 1 towards Pretoria , Take the N 4 or city turn off. You will enter Pretoria from east in Pretoruis str, follow for 4 km. After you have past the US Embassy on left slow down and turn left into Farenden str. Look out for no 425 on left, the house is clearly marked.
