Bergheim Lodge in Pretoria

Werner met and fell in love with a lovely young lady called Heidi. She was a
lawyer by profession and lived in Pretoria. They got married in December
2007 and Heidi, who is an avid nature lover decided to swap her lawyer's
degree for her passion for nature at Bergheim Lodge. Together with Werner
and her mother Gwen, Heidi is involved full time with Bergheim Lodge and
the safaris. It had always been Heidi's dream to partake in such a career.
The lodge is described as a family business and the aim is to make guests
feel like they are at a second home away from home. Heidi's son, Stiaan,
ensures that all guests are as comfortable as possible and have everything
they need. He also makes the children feel welcome and at ease. Heidi, who
has grown up on a farm believes that it is impertinent that a child or adult
should get in touch with nature and be close to it, as there are so many
lessons we as people can learn from nature.
