Majestic Tourist Hotel in Kandy

The Majestic Tourist Hotel is located in quiet clean area in the Kandy City Limit. Over looking beautiful mountains & Rainforest. We are located one and half km from the city center.   There are 14 double rooms on the first and second floor of the building. The restaurant is located on the third floor and the fourth floor have an open area for looking at the beautiful mountains and the Kandy Lake.   All the rooms have attached bathrooms, hot/cold water and tiled floors, some also have balconies. Satellite T.V channels All rooms have large windows,   The hotel has been newly built especially for foreign and local Tourists, we are approved by Sri Lanka Tourist Board as **A** Grade. We are also within walking distance to The Temple of Tooth, Kandyan Dancing Hall, and Traditional Ayurvada & Herbal Treatments centre. (Air conditioning will charge $10.00 additional per night) we do Tours and Airport pick-up for very reasonable rates.

If you want to take a train to Kandy, you have to go Colombo town. It is 30 km from the airport. There are buses available from the airport to Colombo every 30 minutes.

Colombo to Kandy, (111 Km) Also Intercity buses are available from Colombo to Kandy every 30 minutes. Rs.200.00

If you want to come by Bus to Kandy directly, come out side of the airport and walk to
The Katunayaka Bus Stand 10 minutes or Take a Tuk Tuk Rs.50.00 3 Hour Journey to
Kandy Bus fare Rs.150.00 (98 km.)

From Kandy Town to Majestic Hotel you can get Buses from the right side of the Kandy Central Market every 15mins. Cost Rs.8.00 (The central Market is very close to the main bus station and Railway station.)

If you want to take a taxi from the airport to Kandy it will cost Rs.6000.00

From Kandy Town to Majestic Hotel Tuk Tuk will cost Rs.150.00. Before you get in to
the Tuk Tuk or Taxi you have to negotiate the price otherwise they will try to overcharge you as there is no fixed price for either.
