AAE offers all private rooms, either en-suite or shared bathrooms at hostel like prices! All AAE Hotels are well located and near the city center. Most are steps away from the public Metro System.       We look forward to your stay with us and provide multi lingual staff at most locations.   We require a 48 hours cancellation policy. Local Tax is included at most of our hotels.   All linen is included with private rooms. DORM BEDS REQUIRE A 3.00 EUR FEE FOR LINEN AND TOWEL USE   Dorm Beds have age restirctions, you can not be over 27 years of age. If your over 27, you must book a private room.   Our specialty at the AAE Subirats is our ability to handle small and large groups in a variety of accommodations. We offer many large double rooms with up to 10 individual beds per room!   We also feature private rooms with private bath or shared bath, single bed, double bed, 2, 3, 4 all the way up to a 10 bed private! We can handle groups of 16 or more with ease, and we do it cheap. Because we also have a host suite, that has 2 bedrooms and living room, many groups can have the head of group, or special person have their own bedroom, while allowing 3 other people to share a bedroom in the same suite.   We have just open NEW kitchen and common room when you can meet other people and chill out after busy day of sightseeing.   **Please note breakfast is included in price and consists of all u can make pancakes, coffee and tea from 8am until 10 am. You can order other items from our restaurant, or cook other items on own in our kitchen We also have a 2 bedroom full size apartment adjacent to the Subirats, with full kitchen and bath, which sleeps 5 to 6 with ease. Large Families that need individual beds, but don't want to spend their entire vacation budget on a hotel room will love us! Safe, clean and near transport, what more could you ask?   Groups/Holiday Period/Multi Rooms/ 3 or more day stays are subject to first night pre paid on credit card. Groups will receive group discounts.   We are one block from the Arc de Triomf metro Stop, and only 2 blocks from the International Norde Bus station. Many people stay with us to catch an early bus departure or if you fly Ryan Air into Girona, we provide you with exact directions and cheapest way to get here.   The AAE Subirats Hostel is an older traditional Hostel with many private rooms in a historic building. The Subirats Family still runs it with old world charm and are eager to help many guest. We offer free linen and towels and free wireless Internet. The AAE Hotels Tour and Information Desk are also located on the 3rd floor. This office provides basic information in English and offers bike rental discounts, food coupons and other bargain vacation ideas. Wegbeschreibung

Getting from the airport to the center of the city is easy. Obviously taking a taxi is the easiest way to get directly to your hostel, but also the most expensive. The easiest and most economical ways to get into the city are to take the regional train (called the Renfe) or to take the airport bus. Both of these have service directly into the city center. The bus drops you off at Plaza Catalunya, while the Renfe travels through Plaza Catalunya and to the Arc de Triumf (the closest metro stop to the Hostel Subirats.)

Via Renfe (probably the cheapest choice):
Immediately after exiting your terminal, look for the large tunnel that leads over a parking lot. If you go up and across this tunnel it will take you directly into the Renfe Station. Inside the tunnel are moving walkways so it is not especially difficult to cross. Take the Renfe all the way to the Arc de Triomf and exit toward Passeig San Joan from the Metro exit across the large street called Passeig Sant Joan. Outside the Metro, the Arc de Triomf will be very difficult to miss on your left.

You want to cross Passeig Sant Joan and follow the street that goes slightly diagonally from Passeig Sant Joan. This street is called Ronda Sant Pere and is the street on which the Hostel Subirats is located. (On the right side of the photo, you are looking down this street). If you follow Ronda Sant Pere for one block and look to your left you will see the Hostal Subirats. You will want to cross the large street (Called Passeig Sant Joan) and take the street that goes off it at a slight diagonal and which is called Ronda Sant Pere. You will follow this street for one block before looking for the Hostel Subirats on the left.

Via bus:
The bus is an easy way into the city center, but the price has recently been raised to 3.75€ per person. This is still a great price getting into the city, but the Renfe CAN be cheaper and more direct to your hostel. First thing to do is to get on this bus directly outside the airport terminal. There may be a long line, but the bus advertises as coming every 15 minutes (Although I have found it comes more often) and I have never had to wait for more than 20 minutes for the longest line. After getting on the bus, you will ride for roughly 35-50 minutes and stop twice before you arrive at Plaza Catalunya (once at Plaza España and once at Calle Urgell). Once you reach Plaza Catalunya (pictured to the right) you will have to enter the metro. Look for the entrances closest to the top of the block with the El Corte Ingles on it.

You want to catch the red line for two stops to Arc De Triumf. Once you get to that stop, exit toward Passeig San Joan and take a good look at the magnificent Arc de Triumf when you reach the street. You will want to cross the large street (Called Passeig Sant Joan) and take the street that goes off it at a slight diagonal and which is called Ronda Sant Pere. You will follow this street for one block before looking for the Hostel Subirats on the left.
