Marnix Hotel and Hostel in Amsterdam

The Marnix Hotel is a two stars hotel located in the heart center of Amsterdam next to the famous Leidseplein (Leidse Square), THE hot spot of nightlife in Amsterdam with many bars, pubs, clubs and restaurants in the direct area (standing in front of the entrance you can already see 5 bars and a coffee shop).   Marnix Hotel runs it with very low prices for the coming period. We believe you should not spend too much on accommodation while you only need a suitable place to store your belongings safely and spend your nights in Amsterdam. Besides our private rooms, we offer hostel beds for travelers on a budget so that they too can enjoy the many things the city has to offer. Our rooms are not the biggest in Amsterdam, but we are confident that it will be more than adequate for your stay.   The Marnix hotel offers a nice and cozy lobby to spend some time while emailing your friends/family, reading or just watching TV. Our friendly receptionists will be more than happy to provide you with any tourist information and guide you to the city attractions. We also have different brochures to inform you about the many activities in and outside the city.   In short, the hotel offers the following facilities:   - No curfew - Vending machines for snacks and drinks - Bed linen included - Free breakfast (with real Dutch cheese!) - Free Towel - Free Internet - Free safety lockers - Free smiles   Our hotel is located in an 125-year old building (it is built in 1883 and this is considered a young building compared to other buildings in the centre of Amsterdam) and therefore we don't have an elevator in the building. There are stairs in here, but they are typical Amsterdam stairs (aka a bit steep and narrow).   Please remember, this is a no smoking hotel. We have no problem of smoking outside or at the designated smoking area in the neighborhood, but please don't do it inside our hotel. As our guests have different sleeping times, please keep the noise down after 11.30 PM, basically we advice to 'party outside and relax inside'. Also, the prices mentioned are based on cash payment. If you choose to pay with credit card, then an additional fee of 5% will be charged extra.   We are looking forward to welcome you in the Marnix hotel!   Bookings and cancellations: The Marnix hotel does not charge you in advance. Our cancellation policy dictates 48 hours advanced notification prior to arrival. Cancellation need to be done by e-mail. Cancellation by phone will not be accepted.   IMPORTANT: Our check-in desk will close at 21.00, but if you expect to check-in later than that, please notify us. Otherwise we can't guarantee that your room/bed will be available anymore.

Wegbeschreibung

1. From CS you can take tram no. 1,2 or 5 to Leidseplein
2. From leidseplein you walk straigt on and go right at the first corner, that is already the Marnixstreet, then you walk to the hotel
3. From Elandsgracht, if you have step out of the tram you walk back to the big street, that is already the Marnixstreet, go to the right, then you walk to the hotel
