YHA New Zealand is a non-profit membership organization. Non-members pay an additional NZ$3 per person per night.   A wide range of comfortable accommodation is available from the 8 share rooms for the budget traveller to the smaller well appointed 4 share rooms. Standard and Ensuite Twin and Double Rooms are available as well as Family Rooms with private ensuite, sleeping up to 4 people.   Great kitchen facilities, video library, table tennis and volleyball court and a spa pool for relaxing after your day. Hostel has secure bike storage area.   We can organize your track transport for the Tongariro Crossing including pick ups at the front door. By foot: From the centre of town follow Tamamutu Street then turn right onto Kaimanawa Street. The hostel is a short walk on the right hand side of the street.
By Car: From Rotorua or Auckland. Follow Highway 1 onto Tongariro Street, turn left onto Tamamuta Street then right onto Kaimanawa Street.
From Napier/Turangi: Follow Lake Terrace, turn right onto Kaimanawa Street, the hostel is on the left after a short drive.
