Queenstown is the place where you can do it all. Known as the adventure capital of the world you will be spoilt for choice, from bungee jumping to jet boating and sky diving to canoeing. For those with more gentle pursuits in mind, cruise the lake on the old steamship the ‘Earnslaw’, visit historic Arrowtown, take a ‘Lord of the Rings’ tour or enjoy the excellent local wineries. From the visitor information centre walk to Shotover Street and turn left. Walk down Shotover Street and around the bend that takes you onto Beach Street. Beach Street turns into the Esplanade as you walk along the Lake Front. The Hostel is about 5-10 minutes walk along the lake front.
