By bus:
We are 2h30mins away from the airport. The cheapest way to get to Tulum is by ADO Buses. Take the bus heading to Playa del Carmen - once you arrive at the station, you need to buy a ticket to Tulum with ADO (1st class) or MAYAB (2nd class).
Once you are at Playa del Carmen, turn out of the station and head to the colectivos point, which is three or four streets away from the station (about a 15 minute walk). The colectivo is a white van that allows you to carry light luggage, and has capacity for 10 people. Once you get in the colectivo, please remember to tell the driver where you are going. The estimated total price from Cancún to Tulum is $180.00 pesos, or $20 per person. The colectivo will have air conditioning.
By taxi:
From Cancun Airport to the hostel will cost about $90 or $900 pesos (arrange your price before you get into the taxi).
At Tulum:
There are two bus terminals. One of them is opposite the Archaeological Museum - about 300 meters away from us - and is available only from 10.30am to 5pm.
The second terminal is located in town, about 1.5km away from us.
Posada los Mapaches hostel is a B B & B ( Bike Bed and Breakfast)- all included in the price! We provide a cleaning service, bed linen, fans and 24-hour hot water. How nice would it be to cycle, go to the beach or springs and get there in five minutes? If you like spending time outdoors this is the place for you!
