As a result do its stunning beaches, exuberant natural surroundings and wonderful climate, this port has been dubbed ""the pearl of the Pacific"". It's the most popular holiday resort in Mexico and Latin America, since it's functional, modern infrastructures has had very little impact on it's original beauty or attractions.   whether seeking a break from northern climates, the resorts proximity to the equator on the narrows of the North America continental isthmus gives it a sunny and warm temprerature. There is a very vibrant night life in Acapulco. Most clubs are open bar, while the smaller bar establishments are paid on tab. Of the American favored clubs, the top three are, Palladium, Mandara and Classico, all located within a mile of eachother. These clubs play mostly American music, along with popular Mexican Music.

Taxis are everywhere in Acapulco. Since they are unmetered, make sure that you agree on a fare before entering, always negotiate.

There are several public transportation options: Yellow cabs are 10 pesos per person, buses are 4.5 pesos or 5.5 pesos with the luxury of air-conditioning.
