Zamzam Riad in Marrakech
Birds sing in the ancient palm tree, in the distance the gentle splashing of the fountain and the gorgeous smells of Jasmin and spices instantly transport you to another world. The hustle and bustle of Medina life are soon forgotten.
The Zamzam Riad is only a part of the holistic Zamzam experience. In Marrakech and Morocco there is something for everyone. Our highly experienced staff and concierge service can help you plan an unforgettable stay in Marrakech, whilst you relax under the Berber tent, drinking mint tea and listening to the call to prayer.
After many years, living in Africa, working in London and travelling extensively, Emma and Marcus decided they wanted to create their own magical guesthouse. A home from home but with all the luxuries of a splendid hotel, soft towels, quality matresses, Egyptian cotton sheets, plenty of local organic smellies, hand-woven carpets, great wines, superb food and a fantastic Moroccan Spa all within an ancient architectural backdrop.

There are several car and passenger ferry services which offer routes between Spain, Gibraltar, France and Italy to Morocco.
Ferry
The most popular ferry crossing from Spain to Morocco is from Algeciras (Spain) to Tangier (Morocco). There are plenty of options available and a regular ferry or high speed ferry go almost every hour, year round. Many companies run ferries and some tickets are valid for a number of different companies. Check when you buy your ferry tickets, if you can use the return trip for another company as well.
Another popular (and short) route is from Algeciras (Spain) to Ceuta, (Spanish Morocco). High-speed ferries will whiz you across the Straits of Gibraltar in just over half an hour. The general opinion is that Ceuta is a great place to arrive if you're taking your own car. It is quieter than Tangier, petrol is cheap (it's a duty-free zone) and a calmer entrance into the hustle and bustle of Morocco. If you're relying on public transport, then Tangier is the best option since it has better connections to the rest of Morocco.
Ferries from Almeria (Spain) and Malaga (Spain) to Melilla (Spanish Morocco) go almost every day and take about 6-9 hours. Ferries are more frequent between Almeria (Spain) and Nador (Morocco) where you can catch a bus to most major cities within Morocco. The trip takes about 6 hours. You can also get to Tangier (Morocco) from Tarifa (Spain) on a high-speed ferry.
