Solana Hotel in Mellieha

The Hotel's façade, built in traditional Maltese limestone is a good introduction to the whole concept of this hotel, which blends very well with the dainty characteristics of this rural village. Moreover the Solana Hotel’s architectural characteristics and location were well thought of in advance to cater for the leisure and the business traveler alike.

All the rooms feature the standard amenities such as Air-conditioning system, Satellite TV, Direct-dial telephone, Frigo Bar Room Safe, Tea and Coffee Making Facilities, ISDN Laptop (at a charge) Connection and include a balcony or terrace, some of which overlook the valley, the bay, the church and the sister Islands of Gozo and Comino. Some other rooms overlook a ‘Mediterranean Style’ courtyard whilst others overlook the valley and back garden or the rural village of Mellieha.
Most of these units are equipped with a comfortable sofa-bed which can sleep up to four persons. The hotel also offers the option of choosing from a double standard deluxe suite with matrimonial bed or twin standard deluxe suite with single beds.

The Hotel is famous for its coffee shop, Cafe Puccini which offers a never ending selection of pastries, ice creams, coffee specialties, drinks and more....

Turn left out of the airport car park and follow the signs for MARSA at the first island. From then on, follow signs to Bahar ic-Caghak and Gozo. You shall then choose to pass through the coast road where you should eventually pass through 3 tunnels. Once past the Splash Park keep driving along the main road for approximately another 5 km and by then, you should have no problem in following the signs to Mellieha.

Mellieha is found on a very high hill and once up the hill, Solana is exactly half way down the hill. Around 200 meters further down from the HSBC bank and next door to the Bank of Valletta.
