If you take a taxi, you will only have to pay the official taxi rate (about 15$) for transportation from the airport to downtown. (20 kms)
El Vedado is the district in the centre of La Havana and it represents a financial area with important companies, ministerial offices, shops and commerce. It is situated next to the Decorative Arts Museum, Plaza de la Revolución, Cristobal Colon Cemetery, Mella Theathre, Dance Museum or Napoleonic Musem .Also you can find easily many restaurants and bars with the 40 and 50's Cuba atmosphere (Habana Cafe, El Gato Tuerto, Jazz Cafe etc)
