Why hostel Placida? Hostel Placida (200 meters sq.) + (130 meters sq.) plus apartments (58 meters sq.) was one of the first hostels in the city and over the years we have gained great experience working with world travelers and have also met great people. In our hostel we offer you 44 beds in spacious and colored rooms, (pink, orange, normal and two en-suite rooms, separated from the hostel, on the first floor in same building and two apartments just 2 minutes walk from the hostel. They have air-conditioning and satellite TV. Please note that we offer accommodation only to people under 45 years of age, since it is very difficult to please all age groups and younger people are always more lively while elders need more privacy and silence which is not so possible in cases where people need to share a dormitory.   The reception and hostel are on the 2nd floor while on the 4th floor in the same building there is Internet cafe where you have cheap internet access and can make international phone calls for 1 and 2 kunas per minute.   For people who want more than just a room and who would like to experience a little bit of adventure we organize rafting on the beautiful river Cetina. In our hostel we offer a living room, terrace for laundry, fridge and cooker (for cooking tea or coffee.)   Amenities: - Sat TV - Movies for rent (DVD) - Small cooker for tea or coffee - Balcony - English speaking staff - air-conditioning - Center 0 meters - Free maps & tourist info - Laundry is free for guests staying 3 days or more (powder is not included, but costs 1,5 Euro.), for fewer day bookings we charge it 35 kunas - Fridge - Cable TV - Organized day trips for rafting -luggage storage (costs 1.2 Euro)   If you are looking for chic and comfortable rooms for every budget, then hostel Placida is the best solution for you!   If you want to have fun and party, we can recommend the best night clubs and bars and inform you about the best happenings in Split (concerts, art exhibitions, party's, festivals).   If you are passionate about ancient cultures, you should know that our hostel is located just 2 minutes from Diocletian’s palace, Unesco's protected 1700 years old Roman monument.   The hostel is ready to help you with everything you need and also recommend where you can go to have a great time to eat, drink and have fun depending on your preferences.   Hostel:   If you are coming by car we will help you to find parking place close to the hostel in a safe place where you don't have to pay. If you arrive by plane we can arrange on demand a taxi from the airport that will cost 37 Euros.   Please note: Please contact us after booking to leave us your contact number if you have one, If you plan to arrive after 11pm, please call us or send an e-mail at least 1 day before to confirm your arrival. Please let us know about the time of your arrival in your booking paper or by e-mail if your're coming late. on the door there is always phone number so we can be there in 10 minutes if you're late.   Checking out is 10 am. Check in is at 11:30am. Luggage storage can be provided after 10 am. Guests who stay for three days or more can leave their luggage from 7am. You can also occupy a room if it is available. Tourist tax is not included in the price and is 6kn per person per day. The cancellation must be made 48 hours before the day of the arrival. Please be aware that if you ‘no-show’ without advising us before this time, we will have to charge your credit for the first night of your booking.

Wegbeschreibung

Airport is 25 kilometres away from center. If you coming by train, bus or ferry, you need to walk 5 minutes to the Palace.
City is small and easy and best for you that ask somebody where is Zara, National Theatre, or main street Marmontova. When you are there, ask for Splitska banka - it has the same entrance as the hostel in a big pink building .
Come through the main door and on the second floor you will see the entrance with a note - HOSTEL.
If you arrive by plane you have option,
1st,we can pick up you for 37 euro by taxi from hostel. Airport is 25 kilometres away from the city center.
if you come by bus from airport just take the bus number 60 - you will have to drive for about 45 minutes since it stops often but from the last stop you will have to ask again for National theater and Splitska banka - and you are there! Everything is rather close - you just need to get to know the place!
