Kiboko Bay Resort in Kisumu
Kiboko Bay Resort was founded by Nirmal and Beelay Darbar and officially opened to the public in December 2004,while gradually increasing the facility to suit the growing needs of the clientele.
It was formerly a recreational spot called Dunga Refreshments, Sunset beach, before it was taken up and redesigned by the new management.
Achievements
The founders have succeeded in creating a beautiful spot by the lake for both local and foreign tourists who now have access to accommodation facilities, conference facilities and group functions.
The resort so far has hosted the German, Swedish, Pakistani Ambassadors to Kenya and the Crown Dutch prince, just to name a few.
The Minister for Tourism was also hosted during the National Tourism Day held in Kisumu, between 25-27th September, 2006.
The resort has a team of 30 well trained staff to handle the needs of the customers.

Location
Kiboko Bay resort is adjacent to Dunga Fishing village. It is situated on an old quarry on the shores of Lake Victoria.
It is 10 minutes drive from the city centre and 20minutes drive from the airport. Taxi/cab services are available in the in the city centre and at the airport.
For non-resident guests, the resort operates for 18 hrs
Wegbeschreibung
By air:Kisumu airport has scheduled services by East Africa Safari Express / Jetlink and Kenya Airways. There are two flights in the morning and two in the evening. From the airport a taxi will take you to Kiboko Bay in 15 minutes. We provide airport pick-up services if arranged in advance.
By road:
First drive to the center of Kisumu town. Take the road towards Impala Park, the Kisumu Yacht Club and Dunga. It leaves the downtown area from the KCB building and past the Kisumu Hotel (Former Hotel Royale) heading South.
Follow this road for about 2 km till you come to a T-junction. Turn right. Now follow the road for about 4 km (past Impala Park and the Kisumu Yacht Club) to a small village. From Impala Park the road is unpaved but drivable in all weather situations.
About 300m into the village you'll find (on the right) the sign shown below. Turn right and you'll find us at the end of the path. Karibu!
