Our designated Municipal Heritage Building has been recently renovated and has a brand new exciting look, along with fabulous new on-site amenities, including free WI FI, free courtesy phones, new leather furniture in the common areas, a new wide screen TV, internet and printer access, recharging stations for laptops, cell phones and cameras, and brand new comfy beds in our private rooms! And by mid-June 2008 we hope to have our street side patio built and our SKYP facilities in place!   Gateway to the Atlantic Provinces, Halifax is a great base from which to explore the rest of the Maritimes and Newfoundland and Labrador. Founded in 1749, to establish British strength in North America, Halifax has much history and culture, including a cool summer Jazz Festival, a funky Busker's Festival, the International Tattoo, and the Titanic Graveyard.   The hostel is close to the city's best music and pubs, and some of the best seafood you'll enjoy in Canada. The Saturday Farmer's Market, Asian food shops and various large grocery stores are all within a short walk's distance, and your HI MEMBERSHIP CARD will get you discounts at several nearby restaurants.   We are a Non-For-Profit, Membership based organization. Wegbeschreibung

Bus and Train Station 200m from the hostel. As you leave both stations go straight up one block, this is Barrington Street. Turn right on Barrington and we are approximately 5 buildings on your right. The address is 1253 Barrington Street.

Airport - Airport Shuttle for $18.00, taxes included, per person. Need to be dropped off at the Westin Hotel. We are 200m from the Westin. If you explain to the shuttle driver that you are going to the hostel, if not busy, will drop you off at the hostel.

If driving from the Airport follow the highway to Halifax, take the MacDonald Bridge follow the Barrington Street signs.
