Algonquin Eco-Lodge in Algonquin Park

zuletzt aktualisiert am 05.01.2010

The Algonquin Eco-Lodge, located on the southern border of Algonquin Park (only 3 hours from Toronto or Ottawa), is a wilderness enthusiasts' dream!

Summer or Winter, there is always plenty to do and see. With over 60 km of groomed trackset and wilderness trails inside Algonquin Park, the Algonquin Eco-Lodge is a leader of hotels for cross country skiing, dog sledding, hiking, canoeing, mountain biking, and hiking.

In fact, we have one of the largest single trail systems in Southern Ontario, and offer one of the best wilderness experiences in Canada!

And the fall colours are truly spectacular! Hiking our trails, or paddling a canoe on our private lake in the autumn is an unforgettable way to experience our famous fall colors.

Designed and built as an Algonquin Nordic Wilderness Lodge, the Ecolodge was created to give you the best wilderness experience possible, while minimizing our impact on the environment. It has the feel and atmosphere of a European mountain lodge, and is one of the most secluded hotels in Algonquin Park. In fact, your experience begins with a leisurely 2.3 km walk, or cycle, or ski (about 20 minutes) through Algonquin Park to reach our front doors. Don't worry - your luggage will be transferred for you!

Our Eco-Lodge is beautifully secluded amidst remote Algonquin forests, where even hydro lines and telephone poles can't reach. And yet, with a combination of alternative energy sources, the Eco-Lodge still provides all the finer comforts, such as indoor plumbing, battery powered hot showers, an outdoor wood-fired year round sauna, and even a hot tub for use in our cold winters! And with 17 private bedrooms, there is more than enough space to comfortably hold 40 people.

All this, plus our extensive groomed wilderness trail network, a private 30 acre (12.5 ha) lake, and even a resident wolf pack, makes a visit to the Eco-Lodge an experience to remember.

Your stay includes:

Meals (from dinner on first day to lunch on the last day)
Use of hiking/biking trail system (over 60km!)
Luggage transfers from parking lot
Use of the outdoor Sauna
Free use of Canoes
Use of water toys (inflatable raft, floating noodles, etc.)
Bonfire
Wolf Howl seminars on request
