A modern Ryokan built in June 1989. You'll find the old spirit of Japan in &quot,Shitamachi&quot,- the traditional downtown. Close to Asakusa Kannon Temple and Ueno Park, experience the well preserved atmosphere of old Tokyo. Since the Edo period, Iriya has been famous for its handicrafts such as Buddhist alter, furniture, chest of drawers made of paulownia and lacquer ware, etc. If you are interested, we can recommend some shops where you can buy Japanese dolls and imitation swords at reasonable prices. Kappabashi, Tokyo's kitchenware/plastic food sample district, is also close. Lively asagoa-ichi, morning glory market, is held at Iriya Kishibo-jin on July 6, 7 and 8 every year.

6 minutes on foot along KOTOTOI street towards ASAKUSA from the No.1 or No.2 exit of
IRIYA station on the subway HIBIYA line. Walk for about 80 meters to the left on an angle
from the traffic light ahead of the SEVEN ELEVEN. It is also located 15 minutes on foot
fromthe JR UGUISUDANI station (south exit) or 5 minutes by taxi.
