Kyoto Hostel Kanouya in Kyoto

This hostel is in an old private house in Japan which is very narrow offering cozy, clean and affordable accommodation in a traditional old Japanese building, based in ‘Kanouya’, located in Nishijin, a residential and quiet area in Kyoto.   We offer Internet & Wireless LAN throughout the property and have a communal kitchen and living room. We have a laundry service for a small fee and offer a bike rental facility.   Other facilities and services include a spot garden and soaps and driers.   Free tea and coffee is available in the kitchen and we prepare free bread for breakfast every day.   Smoking is forbidden in the hostel.

From JR Nijo Sta. (JR Sanin Honsen Line):

Walk straight up Senbon Dori Street. After 1.2km you will find ‘Oasis Store’ (supermarket) on your right hand side. Turn right (east) at the next set of traffic lights ‘Kami choja machi Dori’ and head straight down for another 100m. You will find us on your left.

From Kyoto Sta. Bus terminal A3:

Catch the No.206 towards Kitaoji bus terminal and exit at ‘Senbon Demizu’.

If you are not sure how to get here we are able to pick you up from those bus stops, so please give us a phone call.
