While breakfast is served in the Osbourne, guests are encouraged to enjoy a drink, lunch or evening meal in any one of a number of nearby bars, restaurants and clubs. Without the need to maintain a restaurant or bar in the hotel, Osbourne’s rates can be kept low and the standard of rooms high.
The rooms are available from 2.00pm and the check out time is 11am on day of departure. If you arrive before 2pm then we can store your baggage for you in our luggage store room.
We do not have a car park due to our very central location but there are 2 Multi-Storey National Car Parks nearby, one behind the Osbourne and one around the corner.
However, you can park outside the Osbourne on the street after 6.30pm to 7.30am although parking space is limited.
Breakfast is served Monday to Saturday from 7.30am to 9.30am and on a Sunday between 8.00am and 10.00am.

From the AirportFrom the Airport follow the A8 onto the A902 to its end and then turn right onto the A90 and then back onto the A902 Turn right into Montague Terrace, leading onto Inverleith Row and Howard Place. Continue into Warriston Place crossing the river and go second left into Canonmills, then Rodney Street, then Bellevue into Broughton Street. Keep going till you get to Picardy Place Roundabout. Go all the way round and back into Broughton Street and take the left hand fork into York Place.
There are several regular bus services between Edinburgh airport and the city centre. The bus stands can be found in the front of the terminal building outside the UK arrivals lounge.
The number 100 bus is a regular shuttle which runs between the airport and the city (close to the bus and train stations and the high street.) This service runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every ten minutes during peak hours and every half an hour off-peak.
From the South East
Following the A1 and signs for the city Centre coming to the Milton Link roundabout, go straight through following Sir Harry Lauder Road, at the next roundabout turn left into Portabello Road, keep straight on and this will continue into London Road, Follow London Road to Leith Walk, turn left into Leith Walk and on to Picardy Place roundabout and take the second exit on the left into Broughton Street. Now take the first left into York Place
From the South / M6 / M74
Coming up to the M74 at Junction 8, take the A71 to Edinburgh, follow to its end and then at Calder junction, continue straight ahead on the A71 along Gorgie Road to its end. Go straight on through to Dalry Road and continue on this until you get to Haymarket Railway Station, carry on straight through and turn right onto West Maitland Street then right again on to Torphichen Street and right onto Dewar Place. Turn left at the end of Dewar Place into Morrison Street and then first right into Lothian Road, continuing into Earl Grey Street. At the end of Earl Grey Street take the second turning at the fork – Brougham Street – this leads into Melville Drive. Continue on Melville Drive for about 0.8 miles and then turn right into Summerville Place. Take second left into West Preston Street, first left into South Clerk Street- which leads into Clerk Street then Nicolson Street, South Bridge Street then North Bridge Street until you get to Princes Street. Turn Right into Princes Street then first left into Leith Street. Keep going until you reach the Picardy Place Roundabout, go first left into Broughton Street and left into York Place.
From the North M90 / A90
Coming along the M90/A90 follow the M90 to its end then on to the A902 – Ferry Road . Take the forth on your right into Montague Terrace, leading onto Inverleith Row and Howard Place. Continue into Warriston Place crossing the river and go second left into Canonmills, then Rodney Street, then Bellevue into Broughton Street. Keep going till you get to Picardy Place Roundabout. Go all the way round and back into Broughton Street and take the left hand turn into York Place.
