Location AND Value - The easiest Hostel to find when traveling in from Edinburgh Airport or Glasgow. free tea/coffee or maps here!!!   Check-in from 13:00 -2300p.m. Check-out 10:00 a.m. All reservations are payable in full on arrival, no refunds given.   All Credit /Debit card transactions carry 5% charge. Please no under 16's unless in private rooms or a group booking. Late check-in available for £10. You must call us at least 24 hours in advance.   Please read all the details below before you book for an understanding of why we think ‘West End Hostel’ is the place for you to stay in Edinburgh for the single traveler or groups of up to 95!   WE ALL LOVE SLEEP! - So we operate a quiet time policy after 2300hrs!.   Facilities we offer include:   *No curfew!* *Free internet access - (08:00 a.m. – 23:00 p.m.) *Free hot showers (24 hours) *24 Hrs Free WI-FI *Breakfast cost £1, payable on arrival. *Free tea and coffee facilities *Pool table – (all available from 08:00 a.m. – 23:00 p.m. only) *Safety lockup available (access only between (08:00 a.m. – 23:00 p.m.) *Lounge with Digital TV *24 hour access security entry   *Loch Ness and Highlands tour booking facility from reception.   For our stag and hen nights we can book Club Class Party-bus Pub Tours, Paint-balling all starting from £25per person and many other entertainments.   Only a 15 minute walk from here is Edinburgh Castle and the famous royal mile that is a must see. Right on our doorstep we have the wonderful St Mary's Cathedral, a popular landmark, and 5 minutes from our door is Princes Street. An easy 10 minute stroll is the infamous Grassmarket Pub area. There are a range of bars and restaurants within 100 meters and a little further are the football and rugby stadiums - Tynecastle and Murrayfield. We are also opposite the cities busiest bus interchange so you'll have no problems transporting yourself out of the neighborhood. We are happy to help!!   Please note: The female dorm is only available for booking by females. If a male books this room your booking will be canceled and the deposit will not be refunded! All other dorms are mixed sex.   *Triple rooms consist of lower double bed and upper single bed. *Family room consists of 3 single bunks and 1 lower double bunk.   All Groups over 8 Persons may be asked for a £20 per person cash deposit on arrival. This will be refunded in whole or part after rooms are checked. Please see terms and conditions.

Wichtige Hinweise

Group bookings of more than 8 people cannot be canceled within 10 days of arrival date and the FULL cost will be charged. Any Group reservations of 8 or more people MUST provide a £20 per person cash deposit on arrival as security on any losses incurred through damage, nuisance to other guests and loss of revenues. i.e. Damage to bedstead = £110, sickness = £25+ etc. Any arrivals after 11pm incur a £5+ fee and must be arranged in advance. Due respect to other guests should be shown whilst staying in our hostel.

Wegbeschreibung

Arriving by train:
The hostel is located directly across from Haymarket train station.

Arriving by bus:
On leaving the station, stay left to Princes street and continue the same route as on foot.See below.

Arriving by Air:
Take the shuttle bus from Edinburgh airport and get off at the Haymarket stop. There is an airport bus link directly across from the hostel.

Arriving by Car:
Approach from the A70 motorway, the hostel is located on the main Glasgow road. Car Parking is available at Haymarket train station or Morrison Street car park.

Arriving on foot:
From Princes street head to the department store Frasers, continue for five minutes and you will see the Haymarket clock. The hostel is located on the right hand side terrace.
