Our cosy, little hostel is right on the main street and perfect for those who want a private room but with a traveler’s atmosphere. We offer you the best location in town, clean, comfy rooms, free breakfast and friendly staff.   The rooms themselves are recently renovated and offer a great view over the bustling Viru Street. From here all the best cafes, restaurants, bars, museums and galleries are a very short walk away, while the Town Hall Square is literally around the corner.   Viru Backpackers is a quiet place and not for people who want to party in the hostel. However, as we are affilliated with Tallinn Backpackers, you are more than welcome to hang out there too and join the free walking tour, day trips, pub crawls, movie nights, or use the free sauna.   Our young but very experienced staff are always happy to welcome you and help you to get the most out of your stay in Tallinn. They can also arrange you airport pick ups, discounts for your hostel in Riga, Vilnius or Helsinki and even private transport to Riga for public transport prices!

Wegbeschreibung

Our hostel is located on Viru Street, the main street in old town (so if you get lost you can always ask around but you can hardly miss it). We are located on Viru 5, above the Salamander shoe shop. We have a small sign on the gate to the right of Salamander shoe shop. Ring bell #2, take the first door on your left and walk up the stairs to the second floor.

If you decide to take a cab ask them to drop you off at the Hesburger at flower market, just in front of the Viru gate (cars can’t go further).

From the Airport:
Take bus number 2 to the A.Laikmaa stop at the Viru shopping center and walk from there to the Old Town. You will see a small flower market: walk there through the Viru Gates and you will end up in Viru Street.

From the Bus Station:
Take bus 17 or 23 to Vabaduse Väljak, the bus stop at a big square. Cross the parking lot and walk into Harju street. Turn at the tourist office to the right into Kuninga Street, pass the Olde Hansa restaurant and you end up in Viru Street.

From the Harbor:
Walk from the port in the direction of the Old Town: take a left into Mere Street till the roundabout. Take a right there through the Viru Gates and you will end up in Viru Street. Otherwise cross the street from the port to Uus street and on the end of that a right into Viru street.
