Take bus to Bahia de Caraquez, then cross to San Vicente on the (pangas) small boats, from there, take a bus to Canoa in front of the gas station. Once in Canoa, ask for directions.
You can access Pais Libre from both major cities, Quito and Quayaquil.

You can expect to pay about 9 dollars from Quito and about 7 dollars from Quayaquil when traveling by bus.

From Quito you will take the Rena Camino bus to Bahia de Caraquez.

From Bahia you catch a ferry to San Vicente for 30 cents. Then you take a bus from San Vicente to Canoa for 30 cents.

An alternate route would be to take a bus from Quito to Pedernales. From the Pedernales terminal take the bus to Canoa.

From Quayaquil take a bus to Bahia de Caraquez. Take the ferry to San Vicente. You can then take a bus from San Vicente to Canoa.

No trains exist for transportation in Ecuador.

From Quito to Canoa, you can expect to travel for about eight hours.
From Quayaquil to Canoa, you can expect to travel for about five hours.

Taxis from San Vicente to Canoa will cost 5 dollars.

You make take a plane from Quito to Manta. And a taxi from Manta to Canoa from 35 dollars.
