The Hotel Raratonga is a small, cosy hotel managed by an Italian couple. It features private rooms and a fully equipped kitchen apartment ideal for couples, friends and family. It is a very quiet place designed for those who love to relax during their vacations- but it still has everything you may need pretty close by. Alessia and Stefano, the hosts, put customers' needs first - trying to help as much as possible with their requirements. Rooms and surroundings are always well maintained and clean.   Santa Teresa is one of the most beautiful beaches on the pacific coast. You can relax on the white sand, surf in the deep blue water or just rest in the crystal clear water of the natural tide pools.   The hotel offers 24 hour check-in and reception. Also tourist information, excursions/transportations arrangements, bike, atvs, car rentals and also laundry service on site.   The private rooms can be for 2 or 3 people (an extra $10 will be charged for the third person at the check in time, please note that the queen bed will have to be shared), having one queen bed and a single bed. The room is provided with A/C, ceiling fans, private bathroom with hot shower, mini bar, coffee maker,safety box,wi-fi service*,closet, orthopeadic mattress, white sheets and towels, 110 v and 220 v power outlets. There is a daily maid service. Private rooms do not have kitchen facilities.   The apartment has one separate bedroom with a queen bed, and 2 single beds in the living room. Each room has its own A/C and ceiling fans. The apartment also has a private bathroom with hot water, a fully equipped kitchen with coffee maker, stoves with oven, fridge and freezer, minibar and all utensils to cook,safety box,wi-fi service*. There is a large patio with table and chairs outside.   Please note: 13% taxes not included. * Wi-Fi : the wi-fi is a service free of charge that we offer to all our guests,but please keep in mind that the connection sometimes in unstable due to the poor quality of the server providing in this area. *****Policy of Payment: Prices are only cash. A 5% on top will be charged for the use of credit cards.   ***Cancellation Policy If you cancel a reservation 15 days or more before your arrival no charge will be made. If you cancel 14 days or less before your arrival a 50% will be charged. If you do not show up 100% will be charged. For the period of Christmas, New year and Holy week a cancellation of 30 days or more is required or the 100% will be charged.

Wegbeschreibung

We are situated in Playa Santa Teresa in the south of Nicoya Peninsula of Costa Rica. The hotel is about 3 km north from the cross of Malpais, 300 mts after 'Lora amarilla' saloon.

You can reach us easily by: Local bus departing from the Coca-Cola terminal in San Jose to Malpais and Santa Teresa.

The bus costs approx $10 p/p and takes 6 hours.

Door to Door private shuttle from/to main destinations, it is a A/C transfer and takes about 5 hours and costs $35 p/p.

Flight into domestic airport Tambor (costs $90 p/p and takes 25 mins) and then take a taxi to the hotel (costs $40 and takes 40 mins)

Renting a car and drive
Driving direction from San Jose:
Take the Panamerican road and get to Puntarenas. From Puntarenas get the ferry to Playa Paquera. Once in Paquera drive on the only road which takes you to Cobano (you will pass Curu,Tambor). Once in Cobano follow the same road which leads you to Malpais or Santa Teresa. You will arrive at a cross roads where you have to turn on the right towards Santa Teresa. Drive for 3 km more. Now you are in Santa Teresa, we are 300 meters after la Lora Amarilla saloon right on the principal street on the right hand size.
