From the San Jose area, drive east to Cartago on Highway 2. When you are arriving in Cartago, you will see road signs for Turrialba, continue east on highway 10. You'll past the towns of Paraiso, Cervantes and Juan Vinas.
Direct ",Directo", buses depart San Jose to Turrialba every hour on the hour until 8pm weekdays and 7pm weekends (2 hours), costing about $2 one way.
