la iguana chocolate in Mastatal

La iguana chocolate is a organic chocolate farm located in the nearest village to La cangreja national park. Guests can come stay in a rustic , comfortable cabin and enjoy a hot brownie with the Iguana family or learn to make their own chocobana chocolates, relax in a hammock and practice their español! There are plenty of activities to keep guests occupied- go for a hike to the local river or the park , go on a guided tour, or enjoy one of our classes (basket weaving ,soap making, milking cows experience, horses riding and chocolate making!)

FROM SANJOSE .. take a bus to Puriscal at la coca cola terminal at the la coca cola market, before 1pm . When you arrive at Puriscal walk ahead to the corner until you see signs for soda DOÑA TOÑA . From here take bus to MASTATAL, which leaves at 3pm, so if you have time you can go around and see the stores. This bus will take about 2hours and you will reach Mastatal at around 5pm where you will see the signs to 'Iguana Chocolate' 1km away.
