Searching for a great place to stay in Shanghai? Look no further than City Central Youth Hostel!   Location   This hostel is a bit far out the centre(6.9 kilometers away from the People Square).   Caoyang Road metro station is a two minutes walk from the hostel and is very easy to navigate so really easy to get to anywhere.   The subway is not running ALL DAY (5:35-22:43).At night time you have to take taxi to go back from the city centre (around 3 euro).   Our guests gave us the comment: The location of this hostel is not the best, but once you initialy find it the journey to and from gets easier!   Facilities:   internet (7 pc's) wireless in lobby &restaurant (for laptop users) breakfast (in our restaurant &bar from 7:30am to 9:30am) shanghai city map & metro map     We have excellent facilities and our services are of a high standard. Within a very short period we have become widely regarded as one of the best hostels and have gained an excellent reputation with our guests from all over the world.   We have a variety of comfortable, clean rooms including ensuites, doubles, singles, and 4/8 bed dormitories with air conditioning in each of the 150 rooms.   Near the hostel, there is a 24-hour supermarket,bar, coffee lounge, ATM, IC/IP phones. There is also KFC, Mc'Donald, Carrefour,banks and post office.

When you out of the Shanghai railway station (from Southeast Exit) ,take the Metro(Subway)LINE 3 heading Caoyang Road (Zhongshan park direction), and get off the train at Caoyang Road Station,REMAINING on the platform have a look at your right, you will see the white BIG UTEL'S advertisement. get out of the Metro by EXIT 3 (there's a McDONALDS there) turn right and walk straight towards the intersection with the main street, before crossing look
around your right, follow the arrows in the white UTEL's advertisement,you will find the hostel.

Notice: the subway is available from 6:30am to 9:30pm. If you want to take a TAXI from the Shanghai railway station, you should get the taxi from the underground taxi staion which costs 18RMB to the hostel.

2) Take Bus No.941 to Zhongshan Park Station,then transfer Metro Line 3 heading

You can take the shuttle bus No 6 (20RMB) to the terminal station Zhongshan Park,then you need to walk back about 500 metres to Zhongshan Park metro. Only line 2 is indicated at the station's entrance but you can interchange to line 3 inside the station building, and take the Subway Line 3 (2stops) get off at Caoyang Lu Station,REMAINING on the platform have a look at your left, you will see the white BIG UTEL'S advertisement. get out of the Metro by EXIT 3 (there's a McDONALDS there) turn right and walk straight towards the intersection with the main street, before crossing look around your right, follow the arrows in the white UTEL's advertisement,you will find the hostel.
