We are a family that has built a hostel with warm environment as you will soon notice in every detail.
The idea is that all of our guests, whether they be students, backpackers, or anyone that would like to come and visit, feel at home, in a quiet and warm environment where you can relax and at the same time be independent.
Our Hostel is located in a one of the most important streets in Viña del Mar, it is a very quiet street close to a church, restaurants, cafes, pubs, and supermarkets as well as the subway. It is only a five minute walk to the town centre and about ten minutes walk to get to the closest beach.
We have 5 rooms, singles and doubles. Our hostel has its own refrigerator and microwave, so you can use at your convenience. You will also have access to computers, if you have a notebook we have also have wireless internet, and laundry service. For your entertainment we have a pool, a beautiful garden and a ping-pong table. We check the hostel daily to make sure we keep it very clean. ‘Gisela &, Carlos House’ also has a security system, so you can feel even more protected and safe. The price you pay also comes with a big breakfast with all types of fresh fruits.
In our hostel we also provide you with tourist information, and we can recommend some of the best restaurants or places to visit.
For anyone that has to prolong their stay here, especially students, we will give you a special price.
Check in is early in the morning and checking out late depends of the availability of the rooms. Normally check out time is about 12pm.

By plane:Flights are frequent between the main cities, especially on weekdays, and they are pretty regular.
International and National Airports: Chile has got five international airports (Arica, Iquique, Antofagasta, Santiago and Puerto Montt). And 12 national ones (Calama, Copiapo, La Serena, Viña del Mar, Chillán, Concepcióín, Los Angeles, Temuco, Valdivia, Osorno,Coyhaique and Punta Arenas)
In Santiago, the International Airport Comodoro Arturo Merino Benitez is at 21 kilometers from Santiago (30 minutes away). The bus service to downtown works 24 hours a day. You can return to the airport from the Metropolitan Stations Los Heroes, Estación Central and Las Rejas or Moneda (at the corner of San Martin). There is also taxi service.
By sea:
The main port is Empremar Port in Valparaiso.
National Destinations by sea: Trips by ship along the coast are not very frequent. There is one ship that covers the route from Valparaiso to the Eastern Island and to the Robinson Crusoe Island (in the Juan Fernandez Islands) once a month.
By land:
Chile has got around 80.000 kilometers of highways which are in good conditions. The Pan-American Highway enters to Chile through Arica and crosses the country from North to South (3.455 kilometers) from the Peruvian border to Puerto Montt.
-Some buses connect Brazil with Ecuador. There is also service between Brazil and Santiago. The inter city buses are cheap and reliable. There is one luxury service that travels through the whole country from the North to the South. Most of the coaches that cover long distances offer food and drink service.
-If you drive In the most distant zones it is advisable to travel with extra fuel and spare tire. The tires must be resistant. Drive on the right lane.
Train International Railway connection:
-Bolivia - Chile: Two trains a week connect La Paz, Bolivia with Arica (at the Northern border with Peru) while you can reach Antofagasta by bus.
-Argentina - Chile: You can get to San Carlos de Bariloche by train, and cross the border and continue the trip by bus to Puerto Montt because some railway connections with neighboring countries use buses along parts of the route.
National Railway Connection:
The Chilean railway net starts in Santiago and ends in Puerto Montt, a service limited by the country’s geography. There are two daily trains connecting two cities with sleeping compartments, restaurants and air conditioning. The passenger’s vehicles can be transported as well. Children shorter than 1.20 meters do not need to pay a ticket.
Our house is located in Agua Santa behind the church “Gruta Lourdes”. Agua Santa is a very large avenue and very well known. “Las Mercedes Avenue” is right beside the church.
If you are going to take a taxi from the bus station in Viña del Mar, you have to go up on Agua Santa Avenue until you get to a big white church “Gruta Lourdes”. The next street is Las Mercedes Avenue, this avenue is right next to the church.
Please Note:
Sometimes when you arrive at the bus station in Viña del Mar, people will be offering you tours and places to stay at a very cheap price, for your own safety you should never accept unofficial cabs.
