The only hostel in Valparaiso, Viña del Mar area ... on the beach   Dunas Hostel is small and intimate with just 12 beds. Stay at the beach and go to the city for the day rather than the other way around. Maybe you just want to chill, there are beach chairs and plenty of hammocks...and of course 12 kilometers of beach and sand dunes.   * Surfing (lessons if needed) * Sea Kayaking * Body Boarding * Horseback Riding * Beach BBQs & Bonfires   ** Ask about our 7 day Surf&Spanish package ** ** Easy connections to and from Mendoza **   Dunas Hostel has two kitchens and BBQ areas. Fish doesn’t get any fresher… but if you don’t want to cook, just walk to the beach where Daniel runs a surfer bar – food, drinks, great music and local conversation.   Remember to bring strong sunscreen… you will need it during the day.   We are small & busy... YOU MUST HAVE A RESERVATION. Check in is between 9:00am - 6:00pm only.   *** Please Note *** We are in the region Valparaiso NOT Valparaiso City. Viña is 1/2 hour by bus & Valparaiso is 1 hour by bus. Buses leave every 15 minutes.

From Santiago
1. Take the metro to “Estación Central”.
2. Take a bus going to “Quintero”.
3. From the center of “Quintero”, take a
taxi to “Playa Ritoque”. Don’t pay more
than $1.500 – $2.000 pesos for the taxi.
4. Have the taxi driver take you right to
the beach – look back and find the bright
blue A-frame house … that’s Dunas Hostel.

From Viña del Mar
1a.On the street called “Avda. Libertad”
take any bus going to “Quintero” or…
1b.Take a taxi called a “collectivo” direct
to “Quintero”. They can be found
on “Calle Valparaiso” just past
the “Plaza Vergara” on the way to the bus
station. It’s more Expensive ($1.200
pesos) but faster than bus.
2. From the center of “Quintero”, take a
taxi to “Playa Ritoque”. Don’t pay more
than $1.500 – $2.000 pesos for the taxi.
3. Have the taxi driver take you right to
the beach – look back and find the bright
blue A-frame house … that’s Dunas Hostel.

From Valparaiso
