Trinity Rocks Farm in Veliko Tarnovo
For those who like to wake up to these things and be surrounded by fruit trees, then Trinity Rocks Farm is the perfect place for you.
Trinity Rocks Massif is over one kilometer long, made of limestone, with hundreds of bolted routes. It is visible from the farm and a couple of minutes away near the village of Samovodene. The situation is second to none, overlooking the beautiful Derwent Vally with its breathtaking views.
Trinity Rocks Samovodeneend. The routes closest to the farm are section A, 8 to 40 meters long and stay in the shade for almost all of the day, making it an ideal area for those hot summer days.
Trinity Rocks Accommodation is situated near the beautiful City of Veliko Turnovo in a peaceful setting. From the farm as you look across the River, you can see the St. Trinity Rocks Climbing area (which is within easy reach), and the beautiful mountains which are full of walking and biking trails.
The accommodation is an excellent base for those wanting to avoid the overcrowded tourist areas and yet still benefit from the facilities and nightlife. One of its most remarkable aspects is its progressive, modern nightlife. Because Veliko Turnovo has the second largest university in the country, the streets are filled with young people and there is a very modern, upbeat feeling that fills the air. You can find many delicious restaurants and cafes offering traditional Bulgarian cuisine as well as a variety of foods from all over the world. After a fulfilling meal, head down to one of the many clubs or bars, offering a variety of atmospheres. You can find any kind of environment from a loud hard rock bar to a relaxing quiet piano bar. Veliko Turnovo offers anything you could ever want to fulfill any mood.

DIRECTIONS:Trinity Rocks Farm is situated 8 minutes drive from the Centre of Veliko Tarnovo. It is situated between the village of Samovodene and Parvomitsi. From Veliko Tarnovo take the road to Ruse (Pyce) E85, after five minutes you reach the first village of Samovodene. Go through the village. Immediately after the Village, there is a right turn to Gorna Oriohavitsa. Turn right here and 200 metres on, at the sign, you turn right into the track. It is well sign posted.
From the opposite direction, E85 from Russe/Romania it is the reverse. Before Veliko Tarnovo and the village of Samovodene, you will pass a OMV petrol station on the left side. After OMV you will go under a bridge. A couple of kilometres down the road there is a left turn to Gorna Oriohavitsa. Take a left here and then after 200 metres take a right into the farm track.
By air
The nearest airport to Veliko Turnovo is located 10km away in the city of Gorna Oriahovitsa. It has the most modern equipment and works 24 hours, unfortunately it only serves cargo and charter flights from Europe, Africa and Asia.
Regular flights are available from all over the world to the capital Sofia and from there you can get public transportation to Veliko Turnovo. During the active tourist season (May – September) charter flights are also available to the two big ports on the Black Sea coast – Varna and Burgas.
By public transport
To get there by bus from Veliko Tarnovo, take a number ten bus to Gorna Oriohavitsa getting off at Samovodene or Parvomitsi. these run every 20 minutes from any bus stop along the main road running right through VT.
From the larger Bulgarian cities you can travel to Veliko Turnovo by train or bus.
Regular bus service is available from Sofia and Varna to Veliko Turnovo with the buss arriving at the “Yug” (South) bus station or next to Hotel “Etar” (depending on which company you’re using). The journey takes about 3 hours and costs about 13 leva, (£3.30)
The buses from, Ruse (2 hours) and Burgas (5 hours), arrive at the “Zapad” (West) bus station.
You can travel from Plovdiv and Ruse directly to Veliko Turnovo by train. And from Sofia and Varna you can get a train to Gorna Oriahovitsa, from there to Veliko Turnovo you can get a connection train, taxi, mini bus or local bus line No.10 (distance to VT is 7km.)
Every day there are international trains to Istanbul and Bucharest, which pass through Veliko Turnovo. Also from Gorna Oriahovitsa train station you can get a connection to Athens or Belgrade.
By car
If you’re travelling with a car, Veliko Turnovo lies at the crossroad between E85 (Ruse – Burgas) and E772 (Sofia – Varna, with the “Hemus” (A2) Motorway at both ends).
