The complete street address will be sent to you together with your booking confirmation.   ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------   Vila CasaNova is a small guest house with Bed and Breakfast amenities in the cozy atmosphere of a quite residential street in Santa Teresa, a historical neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro.   At reasonable rates, similar to a hostel, we offer a more personal choice of lodging in private rooms.   The house is a charming four-floor rustic eighties construction where bricks and concrete contrast with nature and a wide view of the green and the city center.   The rooms are in a tranquil and private ambient and either have a ceiling fan or an air conditioning and some have a balcony overlooking a green valley, the village houses and the city center. The accommodations may single, double or twin.   The lounge area is surrounded by huge windows looking onto a stunning view. It is a bright and fresh ambient with a stereo, computer, books and games at your disposal. If you bring your notebook you can use for free our Wifi internet conection.   We are conveniently close to the center and Lapa, at only 10 minutes from Corcovado, in a place from where you can easily reach the Copacabana and Ipanema beaches, the Sugar Loaf, the Maracanã football stadium and the Sambódromo where the great carnival parade happens.   Our B & B is also only a walking distance from the local commerce with its shops, restaurants, cafes and a cool bohemian nightlife.

The outstanding balance is due to the Check in on cash (BRL, US Dollars, Euros or GBP) *New Year & Carnival: Minimum Stay of 4 nights within Dec 28 and Jan 02, with a 50% deposit in advanced. * Carnival 2009: Minimum Stay of 6 nights within February 17th & 25th, with a 50% deposit in advanced. The outstanding balance is due to arrival via Money Gram money transfer services, NONE REFUNDABLE.

Wegbeschreibung

Only 200m up the street on foot, is Largo dos Guimarães, a square from where you can catch a taxi, bus or the famous wooden tram to the most interesting attractions that the city offers.

We are conveniently located 5 minutes from Rio's downtown/business district, where the most important museums, cultural centers, art galleries and historical buildings are, and from Lapa, distinguishable by its arched aqueduct, home to the samba and the bohemia.

The Corcovado with the Christ's statue, is only 10 minutes away by car or you can take the tram halfway there and finish the journey with a 20 minute walk.

From here, you can easily reach (in more or less 20 minutes) the beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema, the Sugar Loaf or the Botanical Garden. The Maracanã football stadium is also close as well as the Sambódromo where the great carnival parade happens.
