Backpackers Beach Club in Salvador de Bahia

Away from the hustle and bustle of the city but just a ferryboat ride away from the center of Salvador.   The beach club is located in the town of Itaparica at the northwest tip of the island. Two blocks from a small beach, 4 blocks from a very nice beach at Fort Sao Lorenzo, and just a Kombi ride (R$2.50) from all of the other beaches of the Island.   All of the 4 main houses enjoy the large swimming pool, and spacious garden.   The large house has 4 bedrooms (one of which is very large), 3 baths, kitchen, dining room, den, and living room. With one very large dorm (+15 vacancies) in the main house and another very large one (+30 vacancies) in the annex provides ample space for groups.   Each of the three small houses has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, and common room.

Wegbeschreibung

From the airport or bus station take the Praça de Se bus to the last stop. Turn right on Rua da Chile walk 1 block and take the elevator (Lacerda R$0,15) to the lower city. Walk across the street to the Mercado Modelo. Take the R$5 Launch from the Terminal Maritimo (blue building behind Marcado Modelo in the Lower City of Salvador). From there a Kombi ride (R$2.50, do not take a taxi) to the Beach Club in the town of Itaparica. Get dropped off at the Library (Biblioteca) in town, walk past the Library toward the water (2blocks) and take a left on Rua Profesor CORNELIO #100. The Beach Club will be on your left.
