Enjoy a real hot power shower (24 hours a day) that are NOT wired to the mains, the comfiest beds in South America with winter/summer duvets, backpack lockers in your room for your security. By air:El Alto International Airport (IATA: LPB) (ICAO: SLLP), El Alto. Its take offs take a bit longer due to the thin air. There is an airport departure tax of $23 for international flights, Bs15 for domestic flights.
Most South American airlines serve El Alto Airport as well local airline. Most international flights will make a stop over in Santa Cruz to pick up or drop off passengers. American Airlines is currently the only U.S. carrier serving Bolivia, with one daily flight to Miami.
From the airport, the official rate for a taxi into central La Paz is Bs 50 (about USD 6). Shared vans cost about Bs 4 (USD 0.50)
The airport is located on the outskirts of the city about a forty minutes taxi ride and this should cost you about 50 Bs.
We are located just three blocks from the famous Plaza Murillo and three blocks from the city’s main Avenue, El Prado.
We are 5 minutes by taxi from the main bus terminal and it should not cost you more than 10 to 15 Bs.
