Art Hostel in Bruges

The hostel has been fully renewed and is located 15 minutes walking distance to the town centre. Free parking for cars and coaches a 100 metres further up. There’s a bus stop nearby. ‘The Arthostel’ is near the town centre and it is also perfectly situated to explore the surrounding area, Damme, Sluis and the Belgian coast.

The Arthostel is your ideal starting point for a bike tour. We have a locked bike storage area and we can arrange for the rental of bikes. We can give you information about local bike routes.

Our youth hostel is being run as a hostel/budget hotel – youth hostel, where beds are being cheaply rented to everyone, young and old, and without membership.
We offer neat and pleasant facilities at very reasonable prices, the hostel has rooms for 2, 4 or 6 persons.

The airy rooms have large windows with lovely views of the towers of Bruges. Each guest has a locker in the bedroom. The rooms are supplied with new bunk beds with comfortable new mattresses.

Our sanitary facilities are brand new, well maintained and well balanced with respect to the capacity of the hostel. You can count on a good refreshing shower.
We've invested heavily to ensure that our guest have a safe stay. We have followed all fire regulations and have proper fire exits, extinguishers and smoke detectors demanded by the local fire brigade.

We plan to work with art galleries and artists in putting together expositions, hence the name 'Arthostel'. At the moment, we are exposing some African Art.

By car
From the roundabout at the railway station: follow the circular road (R 31) direction 't Zand. Beyond 't Zand follow direction Knokke-Heist until the Warandebrug. Cross the bridge. Arthostel is in front of you. (red line on the map). Free public parking for long term, next to the hostel.

By bus
From the Railway station: take bus nr. 14, or 41, or 42. Get off at bus stop “Haven&quot,.
From the centre: take bus nr.14. Get off at bus stop “Haven”.

By foot
From the railway station: go to left and follow the ancient city fortifications until the Warande brug (25 min).


By bike
