Otematata is centrally located in the South Island of New Zealand. About an hour's drive from Oamaru along the beautiful Waitaki Valley.
It's origins go back to the 1950's when the Waitaki Valley power projects commenced. The Benmore Dam is the largest earth dam in NZ and Lake Benmore is the largest man made lake in NZ.
Established to house the employees and their families, today it is a popular holiday spot.
