Megara Hotel in Istanbul
zuletzt aktualisiert am 05.01.2010
Obviously, this is a street with some history, and not just an old man's moustache!
It has several lodging-places in a range of prices, a few of the inevitable carpet and leather apparel shops, several bakkal (grocer's) shops, some cafes, bars and restaurants. The most interesting shopping is at its traditional Wednesday morning street market, however.
In many ways, Akbiyik Caddesi is the heart of this part of the Sultanahmet hotel district.
With 45 well-decorated rooms, locared at the core of the historical peninsula,MEGARA offershigh quality accomodation combined with traditional Turkish hospitality in aquiet and cozy ambience.MEGARA terraces boast magnificent views of the Marmara Sea and the Princes Islands.Available for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Wegbeschreibung
At the northern end of Akbiyik Caddesi (",Avenue of the White Moustache",) are the Topkapi Palace walls, a small mosque and a ruined Ottoman hamam (Turkish bath). Toward the south are ruins of the Byzantine Magnaura Palace.Obviously, this is a street with some history, and not just an old man's moustache!
