This fantastic property is located only 250 meters to the Happo one ski lifts, Hakuba's world class ski resort (Home to the 1998 Winter Olympics). Walk a few minutes to nightlife and to the shuttle bus stop, which can take you to the many other ski resorts Hakuba Valley has to offer.

Wind Jacket lodge provides a complimentary breakfast daily and a BBQ once a week for guests. Facilities and services include : Internet, ski drying room, western style accommodation, washing facilities, common areas, transfers from Tokyo, shuttle bus and day tours. Wind Jacket provides reasonable rates for a premier location.

GETTING TO HAKUBA
The easiest way to get to Hakuba is through our transfer bus that runs from Tokyo to Hakuba and Hakuba to Tokyo on Wednesday and Saturdays.
The fastest way to get to Hakuba from Tokyo is via the bullet train (Shinkansen) to Nagano, and then by bus to Hakuba. The overall trip is a little under 3 hours.
A drive from Tokyo to Hakuba takes about 4 hours by car. Driving is on the left (as in England and Australia) and most major roads have signs in English.

Travelling to Hakuba by taxi, minivan or limousine is generally about 6 hours from Tokyo to your Hakuba accommodation.

Train

All the airports around Tokyo have direct transport to city train stations. Once at the station, you can purchase tickets from vending machines, many with English signage. If you need assistance at either the airport or train station, you can find English speakers at the tourist information stands.

Trains run about every half hour and the trip from Tokyo to Hakuba takes about an hour and 45 mins by bullet train.



Nagano - Hakuba Bus

Nagano is the main connecting city to Hakuba and buses run every hour until 8.30pm.



Taxi

Taxis are a flexible way to get directly from the airport to Hakuba. If you arrive on a late flight to Tokyo and won't make the last 8.30pm Nagano bus, taking a taxi gives you the option of getting to the mountains without an overnight in Tokyo.

Rental Car

An international license is required for driving in Japan, and must be arranged in your home country before arriving. All types of rental cars are readily available at the airports. During winter cars come equipped with snow tyres and ski/snowboard racks are an optional extra.
