We have all the comfort and the fun needed to ensure the perfect stay in Buenos Aires. We feel our hostel is exactly what you need for an unforgettable stay in BA.   How did we start I hear you ask? Three like minded individuals from completely different parts of the world crossed paths in Dublin, Ireland. One night over a packet of cigarettes and a bottle of wine, the conversation tilted towards the disgraceful places we'd all stayed in over the years, and ultimately that we could provide a better service for hostelling folk. 4 months later we decided to put our theory to the test and the idea for Gecko was born. After much deliberation with different names we settled on Gecko, we found it was appropriate because as with travelers, the gecko is a rock hopper also.

Excellent access by train, underground and bus to the rest of the city
From Aeropuerto Internacional Ezeiza/ Ministro Pistarini:
* Manuel Tienda Leon: $40
* Buses: 86 up to Primera Junta, combine subte linea A (underground “A”) from Primera Junta station take the train up to Lima.Combine with linea C, from Av. De Mayo to Diagonal Norte and combine with linea D to Ministro Carranza.Pass under the bridge on the railrad and walk along Av. Santa Fe with the direction of the traffic turn right at Bonpland and walk up 3 blocks and Gecko is half way up the block on the left.
* Taxi: $120.- (aproximate prices)
Retiro:
* Subte Linea C (underground C line) to Diagonal Norte Station, combine with Linea D up to Carranza station. Pass under the bridge on the railrad and walk along Av. Santa Fe with the direction of the traffic turn right at Bonpland and walk up 3 blocks and Gecko is half way up the block on the left.
* Buses: 152, 93, 108.

Aeroparque Jorge Newbery:
* Buses: 160 Gimnasia y Esgrima Line or Aeroparque Line.
* Taxi: $15 or $20 (aproximate prices)
Train: San Martin Line “Palermo” station.
Tiips: Subway (subte) cost: $ 1.10.- Subway opens from Monday to Saturday from 06 to 22:30 hr. Sundays and bank holidays de 08 to 22 hr.
