Haxhiu Hotel in Tirana

This family-run hotel is tucked away off the main street and set behind potted trees and flowers. It's got a light and airy feeling and views of old tile roofs. The relative lack of amenities is compensated by the management’s eagerness to please. Tirana is the capital of Albania. It is also the largest city of the Republic of Albania. The Congress of Lushnja selected the city as the temporary national capital in 1920. Later in 1925, the city acquired the status permanently. Tirana was founded in 1614 by Sulejman Pasha. Until 1944, it was occupied by the Italians and the Germans. It is now the major industrial center of Albania.

International coach services and mini bus service link the city with other parts of the country.
By train from the airport -
The railway station in the north of Skenderbeg Square is another means of commutation in the city. Rinas Mother Teresa Airport, which operated all international flights, is the convenient means of travel for the tourists coming from outside the country.
By car from the airport-
From Tirana International Airport head southeast and drive for 2.2 km, go through 1 roundabout then turn right toward E852/SH3 road. Turn right again then turn left at E852/SH3 road, take another turn left to stay on E852/SH3 road until you reach Qemal Stafa Street where Hotel Haxhiu is situated.
