Are you looking for a travel experience that will give you the freedom to explore amazing South Africa whilst giving some of your time less fortunate children & communities in need?   We invite everyone, from students to adults, to join us. We have hosted volunteers from a wide range of nationalities and backgrounds, and our team is here to ensure that your volunteering experience not only matches, but exceeds your expectations.   Like many previous volunteers, you can join our Volunteer Surf School and teach less fortunate children how to surf. You will have lots of fun and adventure and get to know interesting people.   Come and join us, we would love to see you in South Africa soon!   A Breakaway Lodge All guests will be staying at the homely Abreakaway Backpackers Lodge. The lodge is centrally located near Cape Town City Centre, based in Muizenberg- one of the best surfing beaches.   The place sleeps a Maximum of 12-18 people. You will be sleeping in a dorm-shared room. (If you require your own room this is also available at a different price) You will be supplied with fresh, 100% Cotton bedding and a clean Towel on arrival. The lodge is close to the beach so there is no need for Transport.

From THE N2. (This is a long high way from the airport-go towards cape town).THE ROAD LINKS TO THE M3 (this is a long high way), drive for about 20 minutes past Claremont, Constantia and Tokai until the end of M3 then Take the Steenberg road off the M3 (LEFT TURN), then at end of the road turn right (at traffic lights), drive straight along ( you will pass spar and Caltex Garage on right hand side..) continue straight along road until you get to the Muizenberg Village, you will see Checkers Car Park on the left hand side, Turn left at traffic lights, go under bridge...follow road around (past beach on right) (beach road) go past blue water slides and over the bridge, turn left at bridge into Axminster Road, at the end of the road at stop street turn right into Clifton Road. Continue straight down road and we are 4th road on left (Hastings road) no 24 a...you will see us on the right hand side- Abreakaway.

We will pick you up from the airport if you let us know in advance. We charge 250 Rand for the 40 minute journey.
