It is easy to reach us – only 90 kilometers from the International Airport in Sharm El Shiek, 150 kilometers from the Airport in Taba, 5 minutes drive from Dahab bus station, few minutes walk from Dahab's main promenade and we are just one step from the Red Seas crystal clear water and its unique coral reefs.

Penguin began 20 years ago when all that we had was a bamboo hut with palm tree leaves for a roof. Nowadays we are have all types rooms on offer to cater for all your requirements, whether it be for basic camp style rooms or one with a sea-view, A/C and balcony – we are happy to provide you with the best option to suit your needs. All of our rooms are clean, well furnished and subtly decorated, (breakfast included on request) and last but not least we have very reasonable prices. The landscape of the area is wonderful it almost leaves you wondering how it all began. It is hard to imagine now that this area could have once been volcanic but you only need to look at the mountains in the area to see the amazing range of colors including reds, blues and black in the sandstone.

There are also many glorious wonders to be seen beneath the surface of the read sea, including beautifully colored reef, marine life and wrecks which are available to be explored through scuba diving at many different dive locations. If you are one that would prefer to stay on the surface you can also snorkel at many of these dive sites. Both the amazing Mashraba and Lighthouse reefs are within walking distance of our Village, both have a wide variety of reef life can be viewed while enjoying the warm waters at the same time!

Our hotel is just 5 minutes driving from the Dahab bus stop. We offer a free pick up service for our guests from the bus stop. If you are arriving at Sharm El Sheik airport we offer a taxi service for 25 Euro - just give us your flight details, airline number and exact time of arrival.
Transportation Pick up from anywhere in Egypt, buses to anywhere in Egypt, flights and ferry tickets.
FROM CAIRO
The trip takes around 6 hours, 120 euro (per trip, not per person).

By public bus: You can also hop on the East Delta bus from the Abasseiya station. Buses leave several times during the day. Buy your tickets in advance, as it's not possible to reserve tickets on the phone. Ticket prices vary from 60 to 80 LE (one way). After a 8-9 hour ride, the Dahab bus station is 5 min. away from the Penguin. We can pick you up for free

Other options: from Cairo are hiring a taxi or getting on a plane to Sharm El Sheikh.

FROM SHARM EL SHEIKH
If you're flying directly into Sharm El Sheikh or arrive there by ferry from Hurghada, we can arrange to pick you up at the airport/port. Just e-mail us your flight information and we'll be waiting for you! You can also share a taxi with others heading towards Dahab for 25 Euro per taxi.

FROM ISRAEL or JORDAN
For those coming in from Eliat (Israel), a pick-up can also be arranged. Another option is hiring a taxi that will cost you around 35 Euro per taxi.

If you come from Jordan (port of Nuweiba), we can also pick you up. Another option is hiring a taxi that will cost 25 Euro per taxi
